Project Overview & Challenge

In high-volume agricultural and food packaging operations, tracking egg cartons across multi-tiered facilities (from collection barns, internal sorting, grading, and cold storage to final customer dispatch) is critical for quality control, inventory precision, and compliance.

The existing setup relied on fragmented manual entries and disjointed third-party platforms, leading to data silos, discrepancies in stock counts, and delayed logistical reporting.

Technical Solution & Architecture

An automated, multi-tiered data integration and visualization solution was engineered from the ground up:

  • Automated Data Ingestion: Built custom Python crawlers utilizing Selenium and Requests to programmatically extract operational data from disparate vendor portals and equipment logs.
  • Data Cleansing & Modeling: Processed raw data feeds with Pandas, validating lot numbers, production timestamps, and shipping metadata into a relational MySQL database.
  • Internal Operator Interfaces: Implemented Microsoft Power Apps mobile forms and Power Automate workflows for instant batch logging on the production floor.
  • Real-Time Analytics Dashboards: Designed Grafana monitoring dashboards displaying live batch tracking, yield ratios, dispatch statuses, and throughput bottlenecks.
